- The Baptism of God’s Holy Spirit
Baptism
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is that baptism that comes after repentance of sin, and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. It is part of that baptism [Acts 2: 38.] 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit . 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off–for all whom the Lord our God will call. and takes place simultaneously. It is being born again.
Baptism
- Speaking in Tongues
Speaking in tongues is often confused with the baptism of the Holy Spirit; and frequently quoted as evidence of that baptism. It is not. Speaking in tongues is a GIFT of the Holy Spirit, and like all the spiritual gifts it is given as God wills.[Hebrews 2:4.] 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. All that only shows that you have [at the present time] been given (or are maybe faking) the gift of tongues.
- Born Again
Being born again is literally what happens during baptism. The descent into water symbolises the death of the old [sinful] you, the washing away of sin, and the emergence from the water symbolises your new birth as a spiritual being. [Colossians 2:12.] 12 ….having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.
- Evidence of the Holy Spirit
The only reliable evidence of the Holy Spirit in a persons life is the spiritual fruit [Galatians 5:22] 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. that is visible in that life. As a tree must bear fruit that is its own, so must the visible spiritual fruit belong to that spirit.
- By Definition
Simply by definition the person of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit, are quite different and easily recognized.
- The Holy Spirit
This is [one] function of the Holy Spirit: [John 14:] 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit , whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
- The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
- Fruit of the Spirit
The fruit of the Spirit is as described above in [Galations 5:22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
What is a prophetic ministry
Hi Ralph –
A prophetic ministry would lean strongly to discussing and offering opinion about future events. If, genuine, it would include direct quotes from the Holy Spirit of God – 😐

What are the benefits of being baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit? So many!
1) We receive POWER to be the witnesses unto Christ everywhere (Acts 1: 8 KJV)
2) The Holy Spirit reveals us God’s mysteries (deep things of God!) (1Cor. 2: 9-10 KJV)
3) The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given us (Rom.5:5 KJV)
4) We speak the Word of God with boldness (Acts 4: 31)
5) The Holy Spirit enables us to pray according to the will of God, especially when we pray in other tongues (Rom.8: 26-27/ 1Cor. 12: 4, 14/ Eph.6: 18/Jude 20 KJV)
6) The world will not be able to resist us! (Acts 6: 5, 10 KJV)
7) To endure unto death, through the power of the Holy spirit, as Stephen did! (Acts 7: 55-60 KJV). God bless you. Tel +250788680540 / PoBox 404 Kigali/Rwanda

How can you be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit? Here are the steps to make:
1) Believe on the Lord Jesus in order to be saved! (Acts 16: 30-31/ Eph. 2: 8)
2) Repent. Repentance simply means to “turn from sin” and to “change your mind” (Acts 2: 38-39/2Tim. 2:19)
3) Ask God in the name of Jesus Christ, with faith, to baptize and fill you with the Holy Spirit (Luke 11: 13)
4) Continue to pray and tarry in prayer and obedience until you be endued with power from on high (Luke 24: 49, 52-53/ Acts 1: 12-14/Acts 5: 32)
God is always faithful, he will certainly baptize you with the Holy Spirit (Luke 11: 13 / Acts 2: 17)!
The following are four signs, according to the Bible, of one who is baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit:
1) To speak in other tongues, though this may be a spiritual gift (Acts 2: 4/10: 44-48/19: 1-7/ 1Cor. 12: 10, 28 KJV)
2) To speak the Word of God with boldness (Acts 4: 31)
3) To be a witness unto Jesus Christ everywhere (Acts 1: 8)
4) To bear the fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5: 22-23)
If you see anyone who has those sighs, be sure that he or she is baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. We should never confuse regeneration with the Baptism of (in) the Holy Spirit. Please read carefully (Acts 8: 12-15/ Acts 19: 1-6). God bless you.
We should not confuse regeneration which occurs when we first believe in Christ as our Lord (Tit. 3: 5). and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. When we believe in Christ, at that time forward, the holy Spirit dwells in our hearts (Eph. 1: 13-14). But we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5: 18), here it is God’s command. And when the Samaritans believed in Christ, the Apostles at Jerusalem sent forth Peter and John to lay hands on them so that they might be baptized (receive the Spirit) with the Holy Ghost (Acts 8: 12-15). So at conversion, we are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit dwells in us, but we need to be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. God bless you
You have a very inspirational site. I love the quote on your header by Bruce Carroll. Yes, I would rather someone walk with me than point me the way, also. Blessings, Arlie Jarels
@Arlie =
This is the key to our entire Christran ministry – we demonstrate Jesus to the world – a sermon of life, you could call it!

Thanks for the interesting post on baptism. I look forward to reading more posts from you in the future.
@ Tania
There is one way to be sure, then you can speak from total conviction, because you are testifying, not theorizing.

Thanks for the comment’s owner first time. Fruit a word as used in Scripture denoting produce in general, whether vegetable or animal. Fruits that consist of ripened ovaries and other parts such as the receptacle or bracts, as in the apple, are called accessory fruits or false fruits.
Hi,
Not sure that this is true:), but thanks for a post.
Thank you
